I did these paintings on a recent trip to France and Italy. We painted in Italy with Chris Bell who runs Art Toscana. Unfortunately I lost those paintings in the Pisa airport but will be trying to recreate them shortly. In France, Jackie Grandchamps with French Escapades took us to small towns in the French Alps to paint. Both experiences were fantastic.

These works are from my time in Carmel, California. It is our second home and there is a painting at every turn. Artist Francis McComas called this area,“The most beautiful meeting of land and water in the world." All an artist can hope to do here is attempt to reflect the glory of God's creation. It cannot be enhanced or improved, only captured.
